Natural Hair Frustrations

I know some of you other natural sistas can feel me on this. I have been natural for almost 5 months and I have reached a point where I don't know what the heck to do with my hair. It is in that awkward TWA phase where there still isn't  much to do with it. I haven't really been taking care of my hair like I should because it is so easy to just get up and go but now that I am out of school I plan on giving it a lot more love. Ugh I am just soooo frustrated with it!

3 Months Natural

One Month Nappiversary

Avocado Oil

I recently got my hands on some of this lovely oil, let me tell you it is AMAZING! I put it in my conditioner and let it sit on my hair for about 45 minutes when I rinsed out my hair my curls were beyond defined and my hair was so incredibly soft. I absolutely love the outcome. Intro

Welcome to my blog, I am bRi, some of you may know me from my other site http://www.justcallmebri.com/ or my youtube channel www.youtube.com/thecollegebarbie either way I am newly natural and wanted to create a blog focused on natural hair.

A little about me, well I began transitioning in October of 2009. In the beginnings stages my hair was easy to manage and I would either bun it or do a twist out but towards the end my hair started to break off really bad and I decided it was time to say goodbye to my long locks and welcome natural hair on January 23, 2010.

Going natural is one of the best things I've ever done. I feel so free and absolutely beautiful. I am in love with my hair and cannot keep my hands out of it (which makes my wash & go frizzy) but I love my coils. I believe i have 4a/4b hair. I absolutely cannot wait until I have a big fro. I love big hair!!!
